I wish I were...

I wish I were an American or Virginian opposum... because their gestational period is only 12-13 days! I think I could handle being pregnant for only 12 days. Nine months is WAY too long!
Oh well. At least I am not one of these ladies- the African elephant's gestational period averages 660 days. Yeah, I don't think I could handle being one of these (although I feel like one right about now)
Apparently, 5 of every 100 human births comes late, defined as after 42 weeks. I think I am going to start praying tonight that I am not one of those.

Our graduate

This post is a little late in coming, but for family's sake, I include it. Last week we finished Jackson's neighborhood preschool with an unofficial graduation ceremony. It was so cute to see the boys march to the music, perform a few things, receive their awards and watch a slide show of all the fun things we did. Jackson got the award for "Most Popular" because everyone always wanted to sit by him. I find this hilarious because he is so painfully shy that he never quite knew what to do in those situations. We feel so blessed to live in an area with good people where things like this are possible. Sadly, Jackson misses his school already.

Gotta love their homemade graduation hats

Roughin' It

Over Memorial Day weekend, we went to Spencer's family's home to continue our camp-out tradition. However, with our lovely Utah spring weather, we had to do a little improvising.

Here are the kids sitting next to the fire, courtesy of Grandpa and Grandma's firepit:

Here is our version of fishing:

Our happy little campers:
Camping in the garage- a storm was passing through that night so we thought it best to move inside to Grandpa and Grandma's heated, painted, carpeted garage.

We even get WiFi while camping:
